2. A written scope with a fixed quote and timeline.
3. Early builds you can try, with regular check-ins.
4. Store submission, then handover of the code and documentation.

Atlassian recommends Forge for new Jira Cloud apps, and that's what I build on.

Can the app talk to our existing API?

Yes. Forge apps can call external services. I'll set up the authentication and permissions it needs.
